DML Counselling, Wexford with Demelza Murphy Lett
I work to understand and help you, the client, whatever your problem or concern. I work in an eclectic manner, drawing from different schools of therapy, to discover the most effective therapy for each individual case.
The cornerstone of my counselling is the relationship between client and counsellor. I provide a safe place to explore difficult feelings and emotions in a non-judgemental environment where one feels heard and supported.
I deal with abuse, anger, anxiety, bereavement, cancer diagnosis or people affected by cancer, critical or terminal illness, child related issues, depression, general counselling, grief, loss, mental health issues, personal development, relationships, sexuality, self esteem / confidence, self harm, transgender, trauma, women issues and work related issues.
Depression can manifest in mental and physical forms. Counselling can help explore the issues that are at the root of your depression.
Uncontrolled or frequent anger episodes can be costly both emotionally and physically. Counselling can help you to find strategies to help you relax in the face of difficult situations.
Stress & Anxiety
Anxiety is an emotion that all of us experience from time to time. However levels of anxiety can be problematic if you feel regularly stressed and rarely feel relaxed. Counselling can help you explore your feelings, understand and deal with your anxieties.
People with a terminal illness, and their loved ones, are often imparted the devastating news and then left to contemplate the approaching end of life. Counselling can provide some of the right tools and supports to help all involved through this traumatic time.
Many people find difficulty motivating themselves after the death of a loved one or they may notice changes in how they think or behave. Counselling can help you examine those feelings and move on from your sense of loss.
Counselling provides opportunities to talk confidentially and to help you learn skills and new ways of looking at situations. It offers personalised strategies that may help you be stronger and more at peace with yourself.
